Jabra Evolve2 40 and Debian Linux
I asked in the fediverse for recommendations for wired (so I don’t have to worry about battery life / charging), stereo, headsets with a boom microphone, for using with Linux.
A few people recommended the Jabra Evolve2 40.
They’re about £80 on Amazon, but I found a pair in excellent condition - hardly used, I imagine - for £30 on eBay. Excellent.
And they work perfectly well with Linux.
Steps to getting Jabra Evolve2 40 wired headset working with Debian:

Audio quality
Great! I’ve done a few test phone calls and a couple of recordings using Audacity, and it’s more than good enough for what I need.
So far, I’m pretty pleased with this £30-from-eBay headset :)
